Our mission?

To disrupt fast fashion with slow, meaningful creations that carry stories — not just labels.

The Human Story Behind Every Thread

In remote communities of Ecuador, women gather, generations working side by side, to spin, dye, weave, and remember. Grandmothers teach children not just techniques, but stories of identity, resilience, and care for Pachamama.
These weaving circles are more than workshops; they are cultural incubators and families. They restore heritage and foster economic independence through artisan cooperatives. Each finished piece supports this vital intergenerational work.

The Ancestral Pathway

Raising Alpacas

In highland villages like Otavalo and Cañar, families care for alpacas with respect for nature, ensuring humane, low-stress environments. Shearing is gentle and ethical, and the fiber is clean, soft, and hypoallergenic because alpacas carry no lanolin.

Sorting, Washing, & Carding

After harvest, the fiber is sorted by fineness, washed to remove impurities, and carded to align fibers, preserving exceptional quality for weaving.

Spinning & Dyeing

We spin the carded alpaca wool into yarn using traditional methods. Natural dyes from cochineal, walnut husk, achiote, and native plants create vibrant, earth-inspired hues and reduce environmental impact.

Weaving with Looms

On backstrap or pedal looms, artisans weave intricate patterns—mountains, rivers, sacred animals—each stitch a narrative of Andean cosmovision. We complement manual weaving with soft automated techniques, respectful of tradition and mindful of the modern scale’s impact on our communities.
